Frame member · More confident and planning a trip
She fell at home and it took her half an hour to get up. Her doctor sent her to Frame Physiology. She started one on one with Naser, she moves better now, her bone scan came back stronger, and her big trip is booked.
I went to my doctor because I had a fall in my house and it took me half an hour to get up, and it really worried me. I went and saw my doctor and she said I am going to refer you to a physiologist. I came to Naser and at that time I was walking with a bad limp and I had used a walking stick, and I have had both my knees and a hip replaced. I broke my hip in a fall. My biggest fear throughout the whole thing has been falling. I started with Naser one on one in November 2024. I had goals that I needed to do. I needed to improve my mobility and moving around. I now find I am much more confident with what I am doing and how I am going. I have just had a bone density scan and my bone density has improved to the point where my doctor is really pleased with how it has gone. It worked. It has taken a while and I have had to really work at it, but what I am doing does work, and for me that means a lot. Yesterday I went to a committee meeting for a club I am with and I mentioned to my friend that my bone density had come in and my improvement was fantastic. She struggles to walk too and she has a lot of problems with her mobility, and she looked at me and said really, who do you go with. I said Frame Physiology. She looked it up on her phone. I am really hoping she will come and have a look, and she was very keen when I said I had improved so much. I have booked a trip to Antarctica, which has been number one on my bucket list, and I am a little apprehensive but I am really looking forward to it. I am 78 years of age. I will be 79 when I do the Antarctica trip. I have gone for 15 days, which will be great. Next year I hope to do a lot more in Australia. I am booked to go on a six day tour of the Murray River.

Frame member · Torn leg muscles, one horse waiting
A fall last year tore the muscles in her leg and she could hardly walk. She found the assessment online and started the classes. She lifts weights now, walks better, and her horse is waiting in the paddock.
I had an accident about twelve months ago where I fell on my side and ripped all my glutes and my quads. I also have a very severe scoliosis with a twist at the bottom, so I was already struggling a bit, but that made it worse. I could hardly walk. I went to the doctors and finally got to a physio who was giving me exercises. He was really good, but I was not doing them at home. I was not getting time and I did not feel confident. I started looking around to see if there were any classes I could go to, and luckily I found this one online. I thought I would go and do the assessment and see what I think. Naser and Karen were really good. They made the assessment very easy to do. I was a bit worried because I knew I was not going to be as strong or steady as I should be, but they talked me all the way through it, so that was great. Then I thought I will start the classes and see how I go. Since I started the program I have become more aware of what my body is doing. I already had issues, but I am more aware of my balance and my strength. I knew I was not very strong, and after my fall I was a bit worried about my balance. My balance has started to improve because I am aware of what my body is actually doing. I can do weights and things I never thought I could do. It is helping build up the muscles in my legs which were damaged, and I think with my spine it is helping those muscles become stronger too. Every day I feel a bit more confident and I can walk a lot better. I can hop up and down on things. The reason I want to get stronger and steadier, besides the normal things like the shopping and jobs around the house, is that just before the accident I had bought a new horse after my previous horse died. I had only ridden him once and then I could not move, could not walk, could not do anything. So it has been twelve months and my horse has been sitting in the paddock with my donkey, and my goal is to be able to get back on and ride. I could not lift a saddle. I could not get up on the horse. I am getting to the stage now where that soon will become a possibility, which will make me really happy. I would tell my friends the same age as me, or younger or older, to come and do the assessment, because even if you only do that, at least then you have an idea of where your body is and what needs building up. But I am pretty sure that, as I did, once you come and do the assessment and see what is going on around here, you keep going, because it is so much easier to do it with other people and have the physiologist here guiding you, helping you to move up, or if something is too hard, move down. So I would say just do it, because at home it is very hard to do the exercises on your own. You forget to do them, you get too busy. Here it is a commitment, and it is fun, and everybody is really nice.

Frame member · Two breaks in one year
She broke her kneecap, then broke her foot while it healed. Her left leg was weak and she tripped a lot. Under eight weeks in, her balance is better and she feels steadier on her feet.
I joined here because last year I broke my kneecap, and while I was recovering from that I broke my foot. My whole left leg was quite weak. I stumbled a lot and I would trip a lot. I want to stay strong enough to play with my grandchildren and get up off the floor without looking ridiculous, and I travel a lot as well. I found this to be the best fit for me. Since starting the program here my confidence has increased a lot, because my balance is a lot better. I am a lot more steady and a lot stronger already, and I have not even been here eight weeks. I am really looking forward to my next assessment to see how well I am doing. I have already been recommending it to people my age, especially if they have had some physical problems. It is just the best. It is all tailored to your individual needs. We work as a group, but individually on our own strengths. It is much better than a normal gym. You do not just jump in and have to catch up with everybody. It is tailored for you.

Frame member · Stumbling on her walks, age 68
She says she no longer stumbles on walks and feels more active and confident. She wants to keep building strength for gardening and time with her family.
When I was thinking of coming, I was having problems because I was stumbling when I was out walking, and I was really sore all over. I thought it is time to do a bit of self care. Since starting, what I have noticed is I do not stumble anymore, which is a big thing because I was worried about breaking a hip. My confidence has gone up when I am going out, I am so much more active, and I am actually down two sizes in clothes because my muscles are toning up. The assessment is really good, because it shows you where you are at before you start and you can see yourself progressing. What is really great is that twelve weeks later you get another assessment. I am 68, and my first assessment said I was 72. My last assessment said I was 66. So I can see the difference in the measurements they take, and in what I can feel in myself. I want to improve and stay fit and get my strength, so that I can do all the things I have not been doing for the last decade, like my gardening, and going out with my nineteen year old daughter and having fun with her, and going out with my husband, which I had stopped doing several years ago because I was just too tired. I have just spent two days at an expo. I was energised the whole time, and on the second day I was pushing her in her wheelchair. I could not do that earlier this year, but I can now.

Frame member · Came in for muscle, left with a different plan
He booked in because he thought he was losing muscle. The assessment showed his balance was the bigger problem. With exercises from Karen he walks straighter and stands steadier, and he plans to keep travelling.
The driver for starting here was that initially I wanted to come in for strength improvement and muscle loss, but at the first induction we found that really balance was the problem. So that has been the real big driver, to try and improve on balance. I find better posture with walking and better balance. Karen managed to give me some classes to do at home, some in home training which I have done, and that has really improved things. We have taken a day at a time and it is coming good. My end goal is to be stronger. I have a mother in law in care, and I can see in the care homes that the biggest issue is balance and mobility. I do not want to be at that stage. I want to carry on travelling. I have worked hard all my life and I want to reap the benefits now, and I do not want that to get in the way, so this is an ideal catalyst to getting it sorted. I think the good thing is that at our age you become a little bit scared about going to a gym and failing. This setup here is for people of our age group. It is fantastic. Do not ever worry. There are so many people at so many different levels here, and they look after each and every one of us individually. Great setup, and very different to the standard gym. I would advise anyone who is having any issues with walking, balance, strength or rehabilitation, please come on board.

Frame member · More confidence after a fall
After a fall, she worried about her balance. She now reports stronger legs and greater confidence stepping up, stepping down and getting into the shower.
It was my strength in my legs, and I had a fall a couple of years ago and broke my wrist, so balance is a big thing for me. I was very concerned even stepping into the shower at home. I had to think about it and maybe hold on to something. So I needed to do something about it. I just want to feel confident. We take holidays, so it is the steps and the unfamiliar surroundings, feeling comfortable in those environments. Since starting the program I have definitely got strength back, and I am definitely more confident getting into the shower, or stepping down or stepping up. I can definitely see a difference in my strength. I am encouraging people to come, because it has made a difference to my thinking and my strength, and to not having to worry.

Frame member · Weak left side, grandkids to keep up with
She wanted to feel safe when she travels and keep up with her grandchildren. Her weak left side is much stronger, her balance is good, and she works at her own pace in the class.
It was strength and balance. I was really worried about that, getting older and wanting to travel and making sure I was safe when I went out. I want to be stronger for my grandchildren, number one, and for travelling. We do not do a heck of a lot of it, but I do not want to tire out and I do not want to have to say I cannot do this. The changes are slow, but I definitely feel stronger. I had a real problem with my left side. I am much stronger in my left side now, and my balance is very good. Slowly, slowly, one day you think, I could not do that, and now I can. I would say give it a go. I found it fantastic to start off from the beginning. You work at your own pace. Naser and Karen are fantastic. I have never had a problem, and I love it.

Frame member · Kept catching her toe on walks
She kept catching her toe when she walked and wanted to feel steady. She walks taller and has not tripped since. Her next check showed her fitness age had dropped by several years.
I joined because I was really worried about my balance. I do like to go walking, and sometimes I catch my toe or trip a little bit, and I felt I would like to be a bit more confident in my balance and strength. I would like to stay stronger, because I have still got two primary school age children and even the older grandchildren. We like to go bowling and do things together, and I want to be confident that if I am on my own I am not worrying about falling. It gives me a few more things we can look forward to enjoying. We do not have to give up everything we want to do. We can work on those issues. I have noticed a few changes since joining. I feel I am walking more confidently. I have not tripped or caught my toe, and I have noticed a bit of my rounded shoulder improving, because the exercises are helping me to walk a bit straighter. I think that helps with the balance as well. I would recommend this to some of my friends who have been asking, because it is worth the assessment. I did not realise how much I could improve my balance and strength. After the first assessment and then my next assessment, the change in the fitness level dropped by quite a few years, and I felt that it gave me a bit more confidence.
Very professional service. Identified my issues, explained everything throughly, moving forward with a plan that is right for me , I felt working with Frame was a pleasant experience , highly recommend .
